  Lobi Bateba phuwe 31cm high
Bought in May 1997 from Philip Murphy who told me that it once belonged to Josef Herman

An ordinary bateba, a male with a prominent sex and long arms close to the body, with the lower legs shortened by termites and with coffee bean eyes.
Most likely it is Lobi, it has Lobi characteristics; and probably functioned as a figure buried knee deep in the earth of a shrine.
